Hey OMA3,
OMA Summer has begun—the season of OMA3 launch activity.
Over the next few months, we will announce new standards efforts, open-source projects, product launches, and more. You will hear more about familiar work such as x402, OMATrust, and IWPS, along with initiatives we have not introduced yet.
We are starting with three milestones that put programmable, verifiable trust into practice for people and AI agents across the open internet and spatial web.
1. OMATrust Public Beta Is Open
Today, we are opening the public beta of OMATrust, an open trust layer for the internet. OMATrust enables developers to publish and verify trust information about internet services using open standards and cryptographic attestations.
As software becomes increasingly agent-driven, trust needs to become programmable. People rely on reputation, reviews, certifications, and recommendations. AI agents need those same signals in a form they can verify automatically.
The public beta supports the Signed Offers & Receipts extension for x402, the internet native payment protocol supported by Stripe, Cloudflare, Coinbase, and many others. OMA3 authored the extension.

2. OMAChain Mainnet Is Live
OMATrust runs on OMAChain, OMA3’s purpose-built Ethereum Layer 2 appchain. OMAChain is live on mainnet and serves as the canonical home for the OMATrust protocol.
The network gives OMATrust—and a growing ecosystem of OMA3 technologies—dedicated, open infrastructure for developers building trust and interoperability into internet services, AI-agent workflows, and spatial-web experiences.
For users, the key benefit is simpler participation. OMAChain supports gasless transactions, so people can use OMATrust without first buying OMA and bridging it to OMAChain. Crypto-native users will still be able to submit direct transactions using OMA once the token is publicly available.
For a deeper look at how OMAChain fits into the broader OMATrust architecture, read the OMATrust Whitepaper
3. The OMA Token Offering Is Live on Republic
OMA is the native token of OMAChain, powering OMATrust and a growing ecosystem of open technologies for the internet and the spatial web.
OMA3 is a non-profit Swiss association. Our mission is to advance open standards and infrastructure that enable interoperability for virtual worlds, AI agents, and the next generation of the metaverse.
By participating in the offering, you are helping support that mission and the infrastructure and standards that make it possible. Please review the Republic offering for details, eligibility, risks, and offering terms.
